Maven's VCTs first invested in Novatus in July 2022, with the funding helping to expand the team of technical advisors, enhance its sales and marketing efforts, and further develop its cutting-edge RegTech offering.

Since Maven invested, Novatus has significantly increased its annual recurring revenue by 13-fold, more than doubled its headcount, expanded internationally and made several strategic hires to its senior leadership team.

In September 2024, the Maven VCTs partially realised their investment in Novatus as part of a $40m investment in the company by US-based private equity firm Silversmith Capital Partners, attracted by the company’s market-leading transaction reporting solution, on which its financial services clients are increasingly dependent to meet their regulatory obligations.
